Legal
Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-11-05
These terms govern your use of BidOpps AI's website, waitlist, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector. By using BidOpps AI, you agree to them. We've tried to write these in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, ask us.
1. Who we are
BidOpps AI is an independent product that provides federal contract opportunity intelligence through an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector. It is built for and tested with Claude; it is also expected to work with other MCP-compatible AI chat clients (such as ChatGPT or Cursor), though we have not verified those integrations ourselves. BidOpps AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov, GSA, or any U.S. government agency.
2. The service
BidOpps AI indexes public federal procurement data (contract opportunity notices, award data, and related solicitation information) and makes it searchable through tools your AI client can call. A new account gets 25 free searches; after that it is sold as a yearly subscription, as described on our pricing page, which is part of these terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use BidOpps AI, and any data it returns, only for lawful purposes and consistent with the following:
- No mass contacting. Contract opportunity notices returned by BidOpps AI may include named individuals' contact details (a solicitation's point-of-contact name, title, email, phone, or fax; see our Privacy Policy, Section 3, for what we ingest and why). You may not use this contact information for bulk or mass marketing, unsolicited mass email or call campaigns, automated outreach campaigns, or any other form of bulk/mass solicitation directed at the named individuals. Reaching out to a specific, individual point of contact about a specific opportunity you are genuinely pursuing is fine; scraping BidOpps AI's output to build a marketing list is not.
- No bulk redistribution. You may not systematically extract, scrape, or redistribute BidOpps AI's underlying dataset (as opposed to using the product's search/tool interfaces as intended) in amounts sufficient to serve as a substitute for BidOpps AI itself or for the public sources it draws from.
- No abuse of the service. You may not attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limits, interfere with the service's operation, or use it to build a directly competing product from our aggregated output.
- No false affiliation. You may not represent BidOpps AI, or data obtained through it, as being affiliated with, endorsed by, or sourced directly from SAM.gov, GSA, or any government agency.
4. Federal procurement data
The opportunity and award data BidOpps AI surfaces is public federal procurement data (from sources such as SAM.gov, FPDS, and USAspending), ingested via permitted bulk extracts and public APIs. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and current, but we do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy. You should verify anything business-critical against the primary source (SAM.gov) before relying on it. See our Privacy Policy for more on data sources and attribution, including how we handle older records that may include Dun & Bradstreet-sourced data.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Free searches. A new account can run 25 searches, and up to 30 reads of what they find, without a plan or a card. They don't reset, and we may change or end this allowance for new accounts.
Individual plan. The plan costs $99 a year, in US dollars, for one user, with the monthly usage limits shown on the pricing page. Stripe takes the $99 when you subscribe. Your subscription renews automatically each year at the then-current price until you cancel. We'll tell you before a price change applies to your renewal.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to the end of the period you've paid for. If something isn't working as expected, contact support within 14 days of a charge and we'll make it right on a case-by-case basis.
6. No warranty
BidOpps AI is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the underlying federal data is accurate or complete.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BidOpps AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including business decisions made based on data it returns.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
